Buy a Christmas Tree and Support the Blues

Pre Pay for a 6' - 7' Fraser Fir Premium Christmas tree at any Blues home game or through a member of the Blues. All proceeds from the sale will be going to a new Blues Scholarship fund. The trees are $65 including taxes and will be available for pick up at Rick St. Croix's tree lot from December 5th - 12th. The lot will be located at the Brick Store on Kenaston. South Blues Annual Dinner

Thursday October 15, the Winnipeg South Blues held their annual fund raising dinner at the Canad-Inns Polo Park. The Dinner which was MC’d by Joe Pascucci, with guest speaker Dennis Hull, and special guest the golden jet Bobby Hull. Blues President Dean Cockell announced the future plans for a new playing facility for the start of next season with Mark Chipman present, subject to league approval. On Friday November 13th it was announced that two Winnipeg South Blues Colin Mospanchuk and Zach Franko had been selected to play for team Western at the upcoming under 17 World Hockey Challenge. The tournament which runs from December 29th to January 4th 2010 and will be held in Timmins Ontario.

The Winnipeg South Blues have been active on the trade front, announcing the following trades:

The South Blues aquired HC playing rights of defenceman Dustin Pearson from the OCN Blizzard for goaltender Jordan Dreger, and prospects Bobby Asham and furure considerations. (November 15th)

The South Blues aquired the HC playing rights of 18 year old goaltender Alexander Micalf from the Trenton Golden Hawks of the OJHL for future considerations. (November 6th)

The South Blues traded MJHL list rigths of 18 year old goal tender Caden Unger to Swan Valley for the MJHL list rights of 19 year old forward Kyle Stephansson. (October 21st)
